For everyone on here that says your dogs love it, there is reason they do. It contains sugar and sorbitol (another sweetener). I like Kruspy Kreme donuts…but I wouldn’t eat them everyday. If I did, I’d turn out like my dogs who ate beneful….riddled with diabetes and other health problems. Try to imagine the pain of seeing your dogs go blind and eventully have their lives shortened. After finding out (too late) what was in beneful, I have no doubt that it was behind their health problems. I have yet to come across a single other dog food, even other poor quality ones, that have sugar. You are playing russian roulette with your dog’s life if you feed them beneful. Trust me. My dog likes this dog food. It seems healthier than some of the junk food I pick up from time to time.
My order from Amazon arrived much faster than I had expected.
My son is always lecturing me. He won’t use any other dog food for his dog, no matter how expensive it might be, because of the results he gets. My dog has a sensitive stomach and I make it worse by experimenting with different brands, which isn’t smart. This is a good choice for our purposes.

Please do not buy this dog food! This is one of the worst dog foods on the market. The ingredients are low-quality and can be harmful to animals. The first ingredient is ground yellow corn, which is a low-quality and most dogs have a hard time digesting (most humans have a hard time digesting corn…). The second is chicken by-product, which the Association Of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO)defines chicken by-product meal as, “a meal consisting of the ground, rendered, clean parts of the carcass of slaughtered chicken, such as necks, feet, undeveloped eggs and intestines, exclusive of feathers, except in such amounts as might occur unavoidable in good processing practice.”
My dogs loved this dog food and I did not have the foresight to research it before purchasing it. Unfortunately, that was a costly mistake that caused one dog a two-month stint at the vet’s office with pancreatitis and the other her life. I regret that I ever purchased this dog food. It was not worth my beloved dogs life or the pain of pancreatitis.
There are many websites that rate dog foods and have great food at the same or lower cost than Beneful. My dogs are currently on Halo, which is great, but very costly. But now required because of the low fat content, due to the pancreatitis. One that I recommend is the Kirkland brand you can find at Costco. It is one of the best dogs foods for the money and consistently rates as one of the best dog foods overall.
Please do your research and read this dog food; there are much better options out there for nutritiously feeding your dog without breaking the bank! I wish there was an option for zero stars because one is too generous.
