Midwest Select Triple-Door Home Training and Travel Series Dog Crate, 42″L x 28″W x 30″H

I bought this crate last summer to replace a Vari-Kennel 700 model for my 90 pound female rottweiler.
Within 6 months of purchase the pan is destroyed. It cracked along all the pressure points created by the wire grid underneath, the crate is useless now. To replace the pan would be about 40 dollars. WHY would I want to replace this pan with the same flimsy hunk of plastic that cracked once already? The only other recourse I can think of is to buy a horse stall mat from the feed shop and cut it down to size. That will add about 50 pounds of weight to the crate, so I am not really too keen on wasting another 30 dollars on a stall mat..
Now I have a metal pen that is completely worthless and will be shelling out the money for the Vari Kennel again. At least that one lasted 8 years…and kept the hair at bay during shedding season. I also feel if the dog wanted to she could rip this crate to shreds.
Maybe if you have a 10 – 20 pound dog this is the crate for you.

I’m not sure I could recommend this crate due to the poor quality of the pan on the floor. I have had my crate for just over a year and the crate itself has held up well, even with my 100 lb. Newfoundland sleeping in it every night. The problem is the pan has cracked in several places and when I checked the price of a replacement pan I was appalled that it would cost around $65 just for that cheap plastic pan. In reading other reviews on different sites I see that it is common for the pan to crack.

This Midwest Select Triple door Home Training and Travel crate for Dogs is everything that is advertised. I got it faily cheaper other vendors. It is very sturdy and well maid and is adjuxstible so you can adjust it as your puppy grows. Highly recommended

This crate is terrific with the 3 different access doors. It is bigger than I thought it would be, but for our Golden it works fine. Takes up as much space as our computer desk. I’m giving it 4 stars, our Golden gives it 5 stars because now he can do his long stretches.

We adopted two dachshunds. They share the crate nightly with the divider separating a space for each. The crate 42 x 28 x 30 is the perfect size and the two end doors make entry/exit easy and convenient. We have a blanket across the whole bottom and each side has a small comfy bed and baby size blanket. The dogs seem to really like it.
