This is a great crate for travel and for dogs that will NOT chew things. This is not a wire crate. I have had puppies and dogs that chew. I would not recommend putting a dog that chews in a crate like this and expect it to hold up. (I’ve learned what not to do over the years! LOL) The crate serves its purpose very well for what it was designed for. I would not expect any puppy unsupervised to not destroy this crate. Enjoy this well made crate! A lot of us use them at dog shows. It’s portable and durable!

I couldn’t be happier with this dog crate! So easily portable, easy to clean, durable, and our dog can still have many “windows” to look out of, not feeling too cramped in the smaller hard shell crates.

This product snapped into shape in less than a minute. Currently, I’m using this soft crate to contain my 5 month old exuberant, golden retriever puppy during her time-outs. Double zippers work smoothly and make it easier to open and close doors. Fabric “screening” provides ample ventilation and durablility to resist her occasional pawing. I only wish this crate came in more neutral colors like tan or gray.

I got this for my new puppy and in the 1st month my wife broke the support bar… Pet Gear was more than happy and willing to send me a inside so that was amazing! My dog is very smart she learned how to undo the zippers that held her in and the ones that held the food! So we used a little latch. Now she has made a hole in the canvis next to the mesh which carried over to the zipper. I am going to email them yet again and see if I can get a new outside. I REALLY love the portability! We do a lot of traveling and it breaks down to a small size that fits in our car.

On the first use my 30 pound dog managed to get out just by pushing on the mesh. Second use (we were gone for an hour both times) I used a twist tie on the zippers so she just shredded the mesh. Have both emailed and called Pet Gear and have not gotten a response.
On the up side, it is light and easily portable and does set up in just a minute.
