I recently adopted a husky/lab puppy? His ears are sort of floppy and ive been wandering if they will even stand since he is a mix. How long does it take a purebreed husky’s ears to stand?

  1. ? APBT's 4 LiFe ? says:

8-16 weeks ………for most although some dogs vary

If they’re going to stand up, they should be doing so now. Since the Lab is a floppy-eared breed, your dog may not have erect ears at all.

Ears do weird things when the dog is teething, but generally by six months they will do whatever they’re going to do.

I wouldn’t count on your puppy’s ears, given the Lab mixture.

My puppies’ ears stand from the moment they’re capable. They might drop for a few days, and sometimes during teething…but you never see them “down” for any length of time unless they are too large for the head.
