No. I had 2 growing up. And my friend has 2 right now. You just have to groom them alot. When they shed their fur it’s so much you could make a sweater out of it.

Huskies are much happier and healthier when they live in cooler climates.A dog’s regular temperature is 101 degrees, just think about adding to that a THICK fur coat.

    No,

Just do not clip them so they have protection from the sun

Huskys naturally have a very thick coat, and can become overheated easily when in a hot climate. There are breeders in the southern states that have been able to acclimatize huskys to warmer weather, but they are still susceptible.

It is not ideal. Huskies have tons of fur and get over heated easily. They need a lot of exercise too and being indoors all day is not an option. This does not mean you can’t own a husky in warmer climates but you would have to brush it a lot and make sure it gets lots of exercise without getting too hot.

    lol…no

They can live in warm climates. Dogs don’t get rid of heat through their skin by sweating, like humans, but through their mouth. And if you think about it, the same layer of insulation that keeps heat in can also keep it out.
However, if you want a definitive answer, why don’t you ask breeders who live in hot places, like Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, etc. Go to the Siberian Husky Club of America’s homepage, and find the breederr referral link. I’ll bet you can find some that will answer your question.
