For all of you wondering if this is a bad idea having them lying together like that “The Siberian Husky has a gentle nature but is also active, alert and outgoing. They are good with children, but being a pack animal, new babies should be socialised with the dogs. ” Also “Note to parents with new born babies. Any change in attitude towards the dog can cause jealousy. This can be said of any breed of dog, cats and even some parrots, not only the Siberian Husky. If your dog is an inside dog and will be moved outside once the new baby comes. Make sure you have moved the dog outside well before ‘new baby’ comes along so the dog does not associate the two events as being related, ie new baby = move outside. Again, let me emphasize, that this applies to all breeds of dogs. So much pain and heartache can be avoided if you try to look at the situation from the dog’s point of view. They are part of the family and don’t want to be left out.”

We got max from the pound.He is 1yr and 5-6 months He is purebred 2 blue eyes he came with his papers his breeder had kept him with the intention to breed him out but he ended up getting “rough” and accidentally killing some barn cats so they dropped him at the pound the sad part was he was with a breeder and was that severly underweight he got roundworm at the pound which didn’t help he was 35lbs when i brought him home when he should be for his height 55-60 he had never been inside and had been attacked by another dog in the pound but despite it all he loves everybody he meets and every dog he even has some chihuahua friends i’ve seen him with cats he isn’t aggressive he just doesn’t realize they weren’t meant to play with big dogs so he pretty much got dumped for no good reason but im glad we have him. If you want a husky or any other dog for that matter do your homework on the breed then try to find a rescue or a shelter you don’t have to go to a breeder or a pet store to get a great dog
