And she hates it when the water touches her belly! Shelby on the other hand, LOVES the water! They had a good time playing on the beach! Gone to the Snow Dogs PO Box 12 Alpena, MI 49707 So we were out to have a bit of fun with the girls this past weekend. The sun was shining to brightly we couldn’t pass up the opportunity. First we went Skijoring for a bit. Mind you, this is the first time I was ever on Cross Country Skis! My husband on the other hand, has gone before. We headed out and wow did we have fun! Of course. . . my husband did fall. . heeheh The next day we decided to go have some more fun. We took a plastic sled and attached it to an old pair of cross country skis and let Shelby pull! WOW she is fast! The downside was, I had to use her Urban Mushing harness, which isn’t as good as a crossback harness. Her new harness should be here soon!! Anyway, enjoy the video! We decided to jump in the Jeep Wrangler and head up to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for a overnight stay. Time to head to the beaches! First we made a stop at Sandy Point for a nice walk on the beach. Then we headed to Miner’s Castle in the Pictured Rocks National Park. It’s so beautiful out there! Then we played around at Miner’s Beach! And then it was back across the Mackinaw Bridge and on to home! This is one of those wateralls with no boardwalk, no signs, basically it’s just out there in the woods. Both of the falls we went to on this day were like that. So she would try to run and her front feet would drag a bit on the sidewalk, well becuase of this, she got road burn on her foot! Silly dog. She hopped around the house for a few days, and we had to put cream on her foot. She is completely healed now, and her new Doggy shoes should be here this week. I think part of the reason she hurt herself was it was the first bike ride of the season, so the pads of her feet weren’t quite ready for it. But hopefully the shoes we bought will help her out!
