I have also discovered another use for the cat. When the husky won’t eat her dog food, I make the cat start eating it. The husky then scrambles to eat the lot in seconds, whether she’s hungry or not, only so that the cat won’t eat it.

but believe me, if that cat would be replaced mine, that dog would be in big trouble. our cat just hates dogs and does not fear to attack them. once our neighbours hunting dog got away from his leash and ran to our yard. our cat was out at that moment and if it hadn´t been our cat, it would have been killed. but because it was, he attacked the dog. the dog was so confused and ran back to it´s owner´s yard. we haven´t seen the dog in our yard since.

huskies can’t be trusted around cats…. i speak from experience…. the dog and cat seemed to get along… then one day it was not the best welcome home i ever had from my husky…. lets just say that was 3 yrs ago and i don’t buy cats anymore
