Gone to the Snow Dogs PO Box 12 Alpena, MI 49707 So we were out to have a bit of fun with the girls this past weekend. The sun was shining to brightly we couldn’t pass up the opportunity. First we went Skijoring for a bit. Mind you, this is the first time I was ever on Cross Country Skis! My husband on the other hand, has gone before. We headed out and wow did we have fun! Of course. . . my husband did fall. . heeheh The next day we decided to go have some more fun. We took a plastic sled and attached it to an old pair of cross country skis and let Shelby pull! WOW she is fast! The downside was, I had to use her Urban Mushing harness, which isn’t as good as a crossback harness. Her new harness should be here soon!! Anyway, enjoy the video! We tried getting our Golden to pull our niece and nephew, but she thought we were nuts, lol
We were thinking of doing the biking too. Do they run next to the bike or do they pull it? Akira would want to pull it and that scares us a little bit lol. It would be fun for us when we go out to the county (we live in the city on a busy road) we wish we could teach her to run next to us so we could do biking around where we live. She seems to get bored with just walking.
@jayjay060708 Oh yes, we have looked into a few different things. I think we are going to do the bikjoring thing this year.
I usually use a thing called a Springer.

Did you know that there are also scooters you can get for the dogs to pull you on?? And if you have a dog sled there is a thing you can attach to the bottom with wheels for when there is no snow. If you want I can ask our friends where they got theirs. It was online and for a really good price!
Our fav. activity in the winter is dog sledding!!!! Only our snow is now all melted

. We are going to rig up a gokart for the dogs to pull for the summer though!
Our snow is melting so fast! We are heading out again today to go play in it again before it’s gone!!

I do that with my dog Roxy and it’s a ton of fun, she LOVES it! She is 75% timber wolf and 35% husky. Your girls are gorgeous:)
lolz..she’s like but mommy i wanna SNIFF. And I would totally be the one on the sled hehe. When I was still in Germany my uncle had 3 huskies and we went to this place near the mountains and he’d put the huskies in front of the sled..IT WAS SO FUN!!! I miss the good ole days.
